CEBU City Mayor Tomas Osmeña is ready to defend the City's towing operations in court, and warned of a traffic management breakdown if an injunction on the operations of private towing companies is granted.
Osmeña said yesterday that he would follow the law should the court decide to stop the operations of the towing companies contracted by the City Government.
The mayor said he anticipated the civil case filed by Tinago Barangay Councilor Joel Garganera and other vehicle owners.

About 10 people led by an opposition Cebu City barangay official sought a temporary restraining order (TRO) against two towing companies for allegedly operating illegally in the city yesterday.
Barangay Tinago councilor Joel Garganera and the other complainants asked the Regional Trial Court to issue a writ of preliminary injunction against One Stop Towing Services and Road Warriors Towing and Motor Services.

OPPOSITION figures in Cebu City would have wanted to join the mass at the Carmelite Monastery in honor of former president Corazon "Cory" Aquino, had Mayor Tomas Osmeña not canceled it over a comment allegedly made by an Archdiocese of Cebu official.
